Ever since it was announced that Sony would be including Google’s new Android TV interface in all of their HD and 4K TV’s in 2015, Sony has been hush hush about anything else on the matter. A report came out today that stated that Google and Sony are going to be going more hand and hand than originally expected.

Users that purchase these Sony television sets, starting in February of 2015, will also receive the ability to use the PS4 Remote Play, as well as Sony’s gaming service, PlayStation Now, which will be linked to Google Play Games, if the user chooses to. The best part about the ability to use PS4 Remote Play, and PlayStation Now, is the fact that users will also be able to use PlayStation controllers via Bluetooth.

Something that might surprise everyone, on top of being able to use PlayStation controllers, is that the remote that Sony packages with their TV’s will also include an NFC chip. This is so that you can pair your Android devices directly with the Android TV portion. The NFC chip in the remote also allow users to transfer files directly between your Android device and the Android TV.

If you’re clamoring for one of these Sony TV’s or have been waiting to see what Sony and Google had up their sleeve, ever since Google I/O, you can rest easy knowing that these are going to start shipping in February of 2015. Prices have been rumored to be starting around $700, so it’s not TOO bad, considering everything that you will be getting with this TV.

The real question about how Android TV will look on these Sony TV’s is whether Android TV will have an interface similar to the Nexus Player. Are you looking forward to what Android TV will look like on Sony’s new lineup of televisions? Let us know in the comment section below.
