Sony Nexus X caught in the wild?

With all the crazy Nexus rumors going around lately, we’ve pretty much thrown out the rule book on what to expect. But even still, the plot thickens just a bit with this latest leak. The image above is what’s being reported as Sony’s Nexus device, and is being dubbed the Nexus X. The name certainly makes sense, and it’s not the first time we’v  heard of a Sony Nexus device. At the moment, all we have to go on are the photos and the name, but we expect to see some specs leak out soon enough. It is a bit trippy to see a Sony device with no Xperia branding or Timescape UI, but we’re not complaining.

The back of the NX looks to be plastic at the bottom with a Sony logo, and soft touch plastic as we move closer to the camera and Google branding. On the left spine of the device, we can see that familiar 3-pin dock connector that’s been found on all the Nexus devices to date. The display looks a bit narrow, but screen size is unknown at this point.

Ironically, the two photos of the device were apparently taken with a Galaxy Nexus. Again, the photos are nice, but we’re taking this with a grain of salt until some more evidence pops up. At the rate we’re going, every OEM will have a Nexus device leaked by the end of the month.

So, what do you think of Sony’s rumored Nexus device? What OEM would you like to see jump into the Nexus ring? Drop a comment below!
