Google and Samsung are partnering for a super-tablet that will knock the iPad completely out of the mobile space, according to new reports. Ok, so maybe not exactly. But forreals, CNET is advising that the two are collaborating on a 10.1-inch tablet that will have an amazing 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution (299ppi!).
Rumored to be around $500, the device will be co-branded by the two companies as each will invest serious amounts of research and development. There’s no indication yet as to when this tablet will be ready however the source points to “supply chain indications” as indication that it’s likely in the works.
CNET is also reporting that Google will in fact start production on a $100 tablet come December. Previous rumors have circulated that Google is going to release an ultra-affordable $100 tablet from Asus.
