The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 was only released in August, but the wearable device is already being discounted in early Prime Day deals ahead of the event that starts October 13. If you are looking forward to Prime Day smartwatch deals, you can already take advantage of $30 discounts on the two versions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. The price of the 41mm variant has been reduced to $369 from $399, while that of the 45mm variant has been lowered to $399 from $429/ That’s a pair of interesting smartwatch deals.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 features a round, 1.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution, along with more than 50,000 watch faces to choose from. You can control the smartwatch through the two buttons at the side and the rotating bezel, so you won’t be obstructing the screen or leaving smudges on it while you work with the device’s software.
The smartwatch, however, is powered by Samsung’s Tizen OS, not Google’s WearOS. This might be a detriment for some who are heavily invested in Google’s operating systems, as it means that Google apps are not available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. The device also comes with Bixby instead of Google Assistant for voice control.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch comes with health functions for monitoring the wearer’s heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleeping patterns, as well as fall detection. The smartwatch is also equipped with more than 120 home workout programs and a running guide that can even measure VO2 max values, or the maximum rate of oxygen consumption during intense exercise.
Samsung promises a battery that can go on a single charge for more than a day, though activating the always-on display setting drastically reduces battery life. Fortunately, if you also own a compatible Samsung phone, you can charge the smartwatch through the Wireless PowerShare feature.
The $30 price reductions for the two variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 might not look like much. However, for devices that have only been on the market for a few months, any discount is a bonus considering you will be getting Samsung’s best smartwatch. The 41mm version is on sale for $369, down from $399, while the 45mm version is on sale for $399, down from $429.
