Is it that time of the year already? It appears that Google is starting the April Fools’ Day jokes a little early so we already have a couple below. We will update this post as more jokes are released.

Play Pac-Man in Maps

This might be the coolest thing Google has ever done. You can now play Pac-Man in Google Maps.

You can’t play anywhere, so you will have to find a location that you can (tips below). From your desktop, search for a location that you think has Pac-Man, and if it does, you will see a Pac-Man pin. Click on it and you’re in. If not, you can click on the larger icon at the bottom left and you will get an “I’m Feeling Lucky” link that might take you to a location that works.

The instructions are the same for the mobile app except you will see a Pac-Man button rather than a Pin. Plus, you will also find an option to “Play Again In The Real World.” This will let you play Pac-Man in augmented reality within Ingress.

Google did provide tips to find places that will work….

  • Don’t drop the ball on the eve of your victory!
  • Triumph is délicieux.
  • Does a Galaxian bonus await at the top of those 272 steps?
  • Chomp your way to independence down seven lanes of July.
  • PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN can’t agree on which side is prettier: the American or the Canadian. Which side do you fall on, eh?
  • After a chat with the Sphinx, PAC-MAN sounds more like “Dokki Dokki”.
  • Pause game play to admire Chagall’s stained glass windows and have a bit of chocolate.
  • Can you score 10^(10^100) points?
  • Whether they’re flashing blue or sporting their natural colors, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde are always kakkoii. Even Vogue agrees they’re living in the trendiest of neighborhoods.
  • Previous PAC-MAN lives don’t get to rest in a white marble mausoleum.
  • Head to the valley of the sun and earn your grade in the art of the game.
  • How well can you navigate the radiating streets of the distrito federal?
  • Victory is like gothic glockenspiel musik to our ears.
  • Pay special attention to Blinky – he might blend in with the dreaming red kangaroos!
  • You’ll find the Beach PAC-MAN World Cup here before long.

They will be adding more tips, so be sure to hit the source link below to get the newer clues.

Chrome Selfie

A blog not affiliated with Google called Google System Blog found this one. In order to get this one to work, you will have to change the date on your phone to April 1 or wait until tomorrow. It didn’t work for me, but give it a shot.

At the top of the Chrome for Android menu, you will find “Share a reaction.” This option will take a selfie and make a screenshot of your picture and the web page you are viewing. You can of course share the #ChromeSelfie on Twitter, Facebook, or wherever.

Google Panda

Google Japan introduced Google Panda. Sure it looks like a stuff animal, but it’s a lot more. Google Panda is a personal assistant with the power of Google Now. You can ask Google Panda anything you want, and he will answer you within 0.3 seconds. He even recognizes 50 languages.

And because everyone is different, not the same, Google is offering the Panda in two sizes, Google Panda 5 and Google Panda 6.

New Keyless Keyboard For Japanese Input

Google announced a new version of Google Japanese input, the Piro-piro Version. This takes hands-free to a whole new level. Just attach the module on the piro-piro party horn. Blow into the party horn and the module will measure the length you stretched it from an infrared sensor. The module will then enter a letter based on that information. The device connects to other devices via Bluetooth and you can use your own party horns.

The Equator is Slipping?

Google Australia has found that Australia could become a Northern Hemisphere country by 2055. Google Maps engineers noticed that the Earth’s equator is moving south at a rate of 25 km per year.

Milankovitch cycles are changes in the Earth’s tilt, which causes movements in the equator. It’s the speed of this movement that is alarming scientists. Dr. Derek Muller, a scientist behind the popular YouTube channel Veritasium, explains it all in this video….
