Fortnite chapter 2, season 6 is live, and as you’d expect, it comes with a ton of new features including map changes, a crafting system, and of course, a new battle pass. The theme of chapter 6 is Primal, giving you prehistoric map alterations and weapons to choose from. In addition, this new season has a slew of characters to unlock including Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series, Raven from DC Comics, and Neymar Jr.
Neymar Jr. is a Brazilian professional soccer player, and his likeness is being used in Fortnite for season 6. Epic teased the athlete’s inclusion for this season, but if you jump into the menus or the Item Shop, his outfit is nowhere to be found. In this guide, we’ll show you everything you’ll need to know about unlocking the soccer player.

How to unlock Neymar Jr.
The main thing you need to know about Neymar Jr. is that his outfit isn’t available to obtain just yet. If you head to the Battle Pass submenu and tab over to the question mark (use the right trigger on your controller to do so), you’ll see a list of Neymar Jr. Rewards.
On the left side of the screen, you’ll find a list of prerequisites, one of which is for purchasing the season’s battle pass. Beneath that, it tells you when the rewards will be available to obtain, which indicates when we’ll get to unlock the Neymar Jr. outfit. This places its unlock date on April 27, 2021.
There will be six rewards associated with Neymar Jr., including:
- Harvesting Tool — Rare
- Loading Screen — Uncommon
- Outfit — Epic
- Banner — Uncommon
- Banner — Uncommon
- Style — Epic
At the time of writing, it’s unclear what these rewards will look like or how to obtain them, but if you recall, this rollout seems very similar to the implementation of other characters such as Wolverine during season 4.
In referencing Wolverine, you had to defeat the character after he spawned on the map partway through the season. Likewise, you had to do the same with Predator during season 5. If those characters are any indication, you’ll likely have to take down Neymar Jr. in battle to unlock the outfit and other rewards. Epic hasn’t confirmed exactly what you’ll need to do to unlock Neymar Jr., but it’s likely it will be similar to past seasons.
For now, we’ll need to wait until April 27 to find out more about getting the Neymar Jr. outfit since it’s not available yet. This does give you some time to earn some V-bucks so you can purchase the season 6 battle pass, which you’ll need in order to unlock Neymar Jr. and other characters such as Lara Croft and Raven.
