While Chrome OS devices have expanded far beyond the walls of the classroom, the education market is still one of the most important for Google’s desktop operating system. At CES 2019, Asus announced four new Chromebooks that are launching in the coming months and are all part of its Education Series.

The new Chromebooks include the Chromebook Tablet CT100, C204, Flip C214, and C403. Without further ado, here’s a quick look at each one:

Perhaps the most exciting of the new Chromebooks is the Chromebook Tablet CT100. This is the first Chrome OS tablet Asus has ever created and is designed to be used by “much younger kids.” It has a rugged body with rubberized chassis that are designed to handle drops up to 100cm, a 9.7-inch QXGA touchscreen display, and charges using USB-C.

Powering the CT100 is a hexa-core OP1 processor along with 4GB of RAM, and in regards to storage, you’re looking at 32GB.

The Asus Chromebook C204 is a successor to the C202 and adopts a more subdued dark grey paint job compared to the C202’s bright white aesthetic. The C204 is also thinner than the C202, but even so, still retains a rugged, durable design that’s designed to absorb shock and falls up to 120cm.

You’ll find an 11.6-inch HD screen, a flexible 180-degree hinge that allows the screen to be folded back completely flat, and a dual-core Intel Celeron processor. There’s also 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, USB-A port, two USB-C ports, a microSD card slot, and an option to upgrade to a touchscreen display.

Asus Chromebook Flip C214

As the name suggests, the Chromebook Flip C214 comes outfitted with a 360-degree hinge that allows its 11.6-inch HD screen to be folded back all the way against the back of the keyboard — essentially turning it into a makeshift tablet.

Other goodies you’ll find are Intel Celeron processors, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, two USB-C ports. and easy replaceability of the motherboard, keyboard, battery, and thermal module.

Asus Chromebook C403

Last, we have the Chromebook C403. The C403 is the largest of the bunch thanks to a 14-inch HD display. It also has a 180-degree hinge to provide for ample flexibility, and with the dual-core Intel Celeron processor and 4GB of RAM, there’s plenty of power for getting stuff done in the classroom.

Asus also outfitted the C403 with two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, up to 11 hours of use on a single charge, and powerful speakers that are rated to reach a max volume of up to 80dB.
