HTC’s One E9+ gets quietly announced with high resolution 5.5-inch screen

Share

htc one e9+HTC has very quietly listed the One E9+ on their Chinese website, detailing the phablet ahead of its official launch. The E9+ sports a massive 5.5-inch quad HD screen, giving it a higher resolution than what HTC’s current crop of flagships use. This marks HTC’s first foray into quad HD resolutions, catching up with Samsung and LG.

Other specs include a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a very capable 20 megapixel camera on the backside of the device. You’ll find 16 GB of expandable storage, a 2,800 mAh battery, and an UltraPixel front facing camera, plus BoomSound speakers above and below the screen. Those speakers sound fantastic, but on a device like this, it means the phone is going to be very big compared to other 5.5-inch offerings.

No word on pricing or availability just yet, but the site shows the device will be available in three different colors; Meteor Gray, Classic Rose Gold, or Gold Sepia. HTC will likely fill in the rest of the details soon.
