If you are the owner of an HTC One (M8) and have a Dot View case, you may find yourself treated to a little trick courtesy of HTC. When HTC updated the Dot View app recently, they snuck in some surprises for users. During the day today, Halloween, users are discovering that the Dot View wallpaper that is displayed has been changed from their selection to a custom Jack-O’-Lantern theme.
In addition to the static Jack-O’-Lantern wallpaper, an animation shows up when notifications are created. Users are greeted by a moving skeleton and some bats flying around. Sources have started testing the device a bit more by changing the date and have discovered that a special surprise is waiting for users when Christmas arrives.
