Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Multiplatform Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Not that long ago, I had the opportunity to review the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max from Turtle Beach. It was a great gaming headset with big sound and a clear mic for PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and more. However, Turtle Beach’s latest offering, the Stealth Pro Multiplatform Wireless Gaming Headset for PlayStation, looks to kick it up a notch with the same great audio and the addition of active noise cancellation. Plus, it’s got a few other tricks up its sleeve. Big thanks to Turtle Beach for sending this out for us to review.FeaturesTurtle Beach copies a lot of what they got right with the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max. For example, the Stealth Pro uses 50mm Nanoclear Drivers, a high-quality boom microphone, and connects via a 2.4Ghz dongle for lag-free wireless audio and maximum compatibility. The dongle, in this case, has been supercharged, as it now doubles as a charging station for the included second battery pack. This is a big bump in functionality because it allows you to swap batteries in under a minute and ensures the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is always ready for action. The only downside being that the once tiny wireless dongle is now a base station taking up more space. It also features an LED light that cannot be disabled. While we’re on the topic of wireless connections, the Stealth Pro can also connect simultaneously to your phone or other devices via Bluetooth. I love this feature because it allows me to make calls while gaming or use it for music. It’s worth noting that there’s no way to connect via a 3.5mm cable though.Besides making calls, another great reason to pair it with your phone is all of the useful features packed into the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app. From the app, you can control the volume, active noise cancellation, Superhuman hearing settings, adjust the equalizer, change the microphone settings, customize the functions of the buttons, and more. It’s truly an essential part of the experience and worth installing immediately. My only complaints are that I wish the interface was a little better and some settings, such as ANC and Superhuman hearing don’t stay toggled on the next time you power up the Stealth Pro. Fortunately, these are only a button press away.Which brings me to the design of the Stealth Pro. Turtle Beach has gone for a more subdued look this time around and I really dig it. If not for the large size of the Stealth Pro, I’d be completely comfortable wearing them out in public. I was also satisfied with the amount of physical controls included. There are dedicated buttons for power, Bluetooth, Superhuman hearing, and ANC. Furthermore, the dial for adjusting the volume is extremely handy to have, and the mic is detachable for when you don’t need it.ComfortThe Turtle Beach Stealth Pro uses memory foam ear cushions wrapped in leatherette material providing a comfortable fit around your ears. The headband uses the same materials and felt fine on my head up until a few hours into a gaming session when I’d start to feel a little discomfort. Overall, I had no complaints. There’s plenty of padding and I love the feel of the material. The only real drawback is your ears will start to get a little warm after a while, but that’s true of almost all closed-back headphones.Audio qualityThe Stealth Pro has an impressive soundstage that makes you feel like you’re surrounded by the game you’re playing. Gaming scores come to life and footsteps can be heard clearly in the distance ensuring that you’re fully immersed and alert. Nothing compares to playing a game with a quality headset, and the Stealth Pro is such a headset.Even compared to my surround sound system, I realized I’m missing out on so much when I’m not wearing the Stealth Pro. There are so many small details and sounds that go unnoticed unless you’re wearing a headset, especially with the addition of ANC which helps isolate you even further.I also appreciate all the tuning options the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app provides. There are straightforward controls for adjusting treble, bass, and even a vocal boost setting. Then, for more advanced users, Audio Hub provides a 10-Band equalizer for finer adjustments.ANCThe active noise cancellation present on the Stealth Pro isn’t on par with the titans in the headphone space, however, I’d say it’s about 80% as good. When making my comparisons, I could hear slightly more noise while using the Stealth Pro.Regardless, that’s still more than acceptable, and with the game audio playing you’re not really going to notice. I will note that lowering the ANC levels in the app isn’t that useful. Once you lower it to 50%, it might as well be off, which would provide you with better battery life anyways.MicI received a lot of positive feedback for the mic when I reviewed the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max—and I’m happy to report—the same is true with the Stealth Pro. Everyone remarked at how clear I sounded and I loved that not only is the boom mic removable when not needed, but it also features flip to mute.Furthermore, even when the boom mic is removed, the Stealth Pro includes two concealed microphones that can be used when on the go, or if you simply don’t enjoy having the boom mic attached.Battery lifeTurtle Beach rates the Stealth Pro for 12+ hours of usage on a single charge. For me, that’s pretty easy to blow through in 2-3 gaming sessions. However, you can further extend the battery life if you toggle off ANC. The good news is, there is a second battery included that charges in the 2.4GHz wireless transmitter that provides up to three hours of use from a 15-minute charge. This will ensure you always have a second battery ready to go that’s easy to swap in under a minute. The only problem is you’ll have to get up and walk over to the console if you game from the couch like me.Final thoughtsTurtle Beach has a winner on its hands with the Stealth Pro. It offers everything you’d expect from a top-of-the-line gaming headset, such as high-quality audio performance, a clear mic, active noise cancellation, a fully featured app, simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity, decent battery life, and more.If the battery lasted longer it would be perfect, but the addition of ANC and a swappable battery makes up for that. The only real downside is how you’re going to pay for it. The Stealth Pro retails for $330—and that’s a little on the expensive side—but quality doesn’t come cheap, and the Stealth Pro is a premium headset with a price to match. The fact that it is compatible with PS5, PS4, PC, Mac, and the Nintendo Switch does help take some sting out of the price. That makes the Stealth Pro an all-in-one gaming headset for all of your devices.Buy from Amazon Buy from Turtle Beach

Samsung Account App Crashing and Stopping: Easy Troubleshooting Tips

Samsung Account is an essential app for this brand’s lovers since it allows them to access various handy services, including Samsung Cloud, Find My Mobile, Samsung Pay, and many others. However, as with any other app, malfunctions sometimes occur, which of course, inconveniences users. So in this article, you’ll learn how to deal with them due to simple troubleshooting tips.# 1 Restart the App and the PhoneThe first thing to do if the Samsung Account app doesn’t work or stops working is to restart the app and your phone. In the first case, go to the app settings, forcibly stop it, and reopen it. To reboot your phone, press and hold the power button and then select the restart option. Rebooting your phone can help fix temporary glitches or errors that cause the app to fail.# 2 Update the AppAnother common cause of app crashes is outdated software. To ensure the Samsung Account app is up to date, go to the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store, search for the app, and see if an update is available. If yes, download and install it. In most cases, this helps solve the problem.# 3 Update Your Operating SystemSometimes the problem may be broader than a specific application but can be system-wide. In such cases, updating your device’s OS can fix bugs and other issues. To check for updates, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If an update is available, your device will start the download process automatically. Otherwise, you can click on the Download option. Once the process is complete, select “Install Now” to install the update. However, Samsung devices typically only receive Android updates within four years. If your phone is older than that, updating the OS may not be a viable solution.# 4 Clear Cache and DataIf the app doesn’t work after restarting and updating, it’s time to clear its cache and data. To do this, go to the app settings, select the Samsung Account app, and then select the data storage option. And you can move on to clearing the cache, eventually deleting the temporary files that caused the app to fail. In addition, removing the data will reset the app to its default settings, deleting any saved login data and preferences. So, to clear the cache section, turn off your phone and press and hold the volume, power, and home buttons simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears. Then release the power button while holding down the volume and home buttons. It will take you to the Android restore menu. There, use the volume buttons to navigate to “Wipe cache partition” and select it with the power button.# 5 Check Your Internet ConnectionA stable Internet connection is strongly required for Samsung Account to work correctly. If your Internet connection is weak, it may cause the application to fail or stop working. Ensure your Wi-Fi or mobile network connection is reliable, and then try opening the app again.# 6 Remove Third-Party Apps or ServicesSome third-party apps or services installed on your phone may interfere with the Samsung Account app. First, try uninstalling them and see if the app starts working correctly. To uninstall an app, go to your phone settings, select Apps, find the app you want to uninstall, and then select Uninstall.# 7 Turn Off Battery OptimizationSome phone models may have battery optimization settings that can interfere with the Samsung Account app. So try disabling battery optimization for this app. To turn off battery optimization, go to your phone settings, select “Battery,” and then “Battery Optimization.” In this section, you can find the Samsung Account app and select “Don’t optimize.”# 8 Turn Off VPNs or ProxiesIf you have a VPN or proxy enabled, disable them and see if the Samsung Account app starts working correctly. To disable a VPN or proxy, go to your phone settings, select Connections, and then Other Connection Settings. There you can disable any enabled VPNs or proxies.# 9 Free Up Storage SpaceRegarding storage, lack of space can lead to application performance issues. When the internal memory is complete, your phone may slow down, not run smoothly, and even crash. If an app can’t remove enough unnecessary files, deleting apps you no longer need is the fastest way to free up a significant amount of memory space. After freeing up enough memory, your phone should start functioning normally immediately.# 10 Allow All Permissions to Crashing AppsIf you’re having trouble opening an app, you previously denied specific permissions it needs to function correctly. Standard ones include access to your location, camera, microphone, and more. Without these permissions, an app may freeze, experience lag, or fail to open altogether. Fortunately, fixing this is typically straightforward. First, navigate to Settings > Apps and select the crashing app. Then, on the app info page, set Permissions and enable all the permissions the app requires. Additionally, you may want to consider turning off the “Remove permissions and free up space” toggle. Once you have done this, try reopening the app to see if the issue has been resolved.# 11 Contact Samsung SupportIf none of the above steps helped solve the problem, contact Samsung Support for further help. They can walk you through the entire process of fixing the app or give you more assistance. In addition, you can contact Samsung support through their website or support hotline.Few Words About Changing a Phone Number on the Samsung AccountAt the end of this article, we’d like to mention one more issue that Samsung phone users with accounts encounter. These accounts are linked to the user’s phone number for two-step verification. However, if you’ve changed your number, you must change it in your Samsung account to continue accessing all Samsung services. So, what to do in this case? The best solution would be to solve the Samsung account change phone number issue with the help of Howly consulting service experts, who are available 24/7. Well, now you can efficiently deal with any problems related to your Samsung Account app.The Bottom LineProblems with the Samsung Account app crashing and stopping can be frustrating, but they are solvable. By following these simple troubleshooting tips, you can quickly fix the problem and enjoy uninterrupted access to your Samsung services. Updating your phone and apps, clearing cache and data, and checking your Internet connection are simple steps you can take on your own. But if, after all the actions given in this article, the problem persists, feel free to contact the professionals immediately.About the AuthorChristine Tomas is a tech expert, consultant, and aspiring writer. OnePlus Pad Review

OnePlus has come quite a ways from its humble “iPhone killer” beginnings. The company started by creating budget devices with nominal compromises to cut costs with stock Android. Now, OnePlus is actively challenging the likes of Samsung and Google directly with premium offerings.I’ve been testing the OnePlus Pad for around a month and this is a natural progression of the OnePlus lineup. This premium tablet, keyboard, and Stylo stylus can go toe-to-toe with any other alternatives.DesignThe OnePlus Pad is almost identical in dimensions to the current 10.2-inch iPads but the engineers have crammed a larger 11.6-inch screen on this tablet. You can tell OnePlus borrowed inspiration for the entire package design here, but that’s not a bad thing. The iPad is a great device that has set the standard and the build quality and finish of the OnePlus Pad, Stylo, and keyboard are all top-notch. With an 88% screen-to-body ratio, the real estate creeps further towards the iPad Pro in a much smaller footprint. The overall chassis of the OnePlus Pad is one piece of machined aluminum. The tablet has a sturdy feel and a well-balanced build. The bottom houses the USB-C port and two speaker grills. On the right side is where you’ll find the volume rockers and a magnetic indention for storing and charging the Stylo. The Halo Green colorway of the metal body is pleasing to the eyes and has a premium quality to its look. OnePlus says it’s an active choice to represent the new pastures of tablets for the company and mark a beacon for the future. The top holds the power button and two more speaker grills for the surround audio. Lastly, you have a pogo pin connector on the left-hand side while holding the Pad in portrait. This becomes the bottom of the tablet in portrait and pairs and powers the keyboard when attached.Internally, you have a powerhouse you’d expect from OnePlus. The chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series capable of a full 3.05GHz clock speed. Paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage you have a real workhorse. OnePlus is also using internal storage to act as more RAM if needed. This is similar to SWAP partitions in Linux machines and mimics additional RAM for a cache of up to another 8GB.SoftwareIf you’ve used a recent OnePlus or even a Samsung device, the OnePlus Pad’s operating system will be familiar. The system is a modified version of the stock Android builds. This is mostly in the notification/quick settings shade, the home screen, and the app drawer. It’s subjective but overall pleasing even if it’s more layered than say a Pixel.OnePlus notes its commitment to future updates as well. The company states that the OnePlus Pad will receive three years of OS updates and four years of security updates. This aligns it very well with the Android landscape and is on par with the rest of the OnePlus smartphones. When you get into the more tablet tweaks is when you can appreciate what OnePlus has done with the Pad’s OxygenOS. OnePlus has done a great job of making gestures for first-rate interactions on the Pad tablet. First, you can simply swipe with different finger combinations on the home screens. A two-finger gesture is configurable in the Home Settings for universal search, notification tray, or to open the side shelf. You can swipe down with three fingers to take screenshots. If you want to quickly split two screens side-by-side, then you can swipe down on the first app with two fingers. You then get this neat animation that looks like you are cutting a slit and the app slides to your left side of the screen and you then choose the new app to run on the right side. You can also resize apps. From having them in smaller almost phone-sized little mini windows to freehanding to a perfect look you have many options. For any size, you get a little pill icon at the top panel of the app. This is your keystone to manipulate the window location. Tapping and dragging this pill allows you to slide the app anywhere you want it on the OnePlus Pad’s screen. The final magic that OnePlus has added to the Pad is Cellular Data Sharing and notification mirroring with what the company calls Imperceptive Connection. With a compatible OnePlus smartphone, you can share both data connection and app interactions seamlessly. This includes your 5G connection and app notification. It’s a full merging of software that makes this a top-notch ecosystem for OnePlus users. To say it’s “Apple-level” integrations between devices is worthy of praise and appropriate. I’d love to say that I’ve tested this outside of theory, but for some reason, this isn’t available at launch. OnePlus plans to have this added as a software update “sometime in June” for compatible OnePlus smartphones.BatteryThe endurance away from the outlet has been great. The standby time of this tablet is one of the best I’ve experienced. The 9510mAH battery pack makes this an endurance champ. I’ve had a great experience using the OnePlus Pad for around 10 hours of casual usage. When you do need to reach for the charger, in true OnePlus fashion, the company has included a fast charger in the box. The 67Watt SuperVOOC unit can recharge the OnePlus Pad in around an hour. Not only does the Pad have great battery life, but you can also easily get back online with it in no time.ProductivityOne of the most appealing parts of the OnePlus Pad is the optional combination of the Magnetic Keyboard cover and Stylo stylus. With both of these accessories, you can create a workflow very similar to that of a laptop.Like the rest of the tablets, the Magnetic Keyboard and the Stylo are very well-built. The quality of materials makes this stand out in the Android market in my eyes. There are similar options, but outside of Samsung, there are not many that compare. The key spacing of the Magnetic Keyboard is near perfect and will feel completely natural to anyone. The same can be said for the trackpad. It’s on the smaller side to make sure you can still have the full-sized keyboard but has a nice surface and travel. The Magnetic Keyboard includes a magnetic back cover for the OnePlus pad to provide a kickstand while typing. The case is of a leather-like material and feels great. The kickstand provides a stiff enough hinge that it can be used in several orientations and I found it adequate on both flat surfaces as well as on my lap.Lastly, the Stylo again borrows heavily from the Apple Pencil and its integration with the iPad… and that’s a good thing. There’s a magnetic area on the side of the OnePlus Pad that both holds and charges the Stylo. When you remove the Stylo from the Pad it’s instantly paired and ready with a UI pop-up to show you the battery life.I’m not a huge stylus guy, but the OnePlus Stylo meets my needs with ease. OnePlus says the pen has less than 2 milliseconds of delay and I’d say that’s accurate. There’s almost zero lag with using the Stylo on the Pad’s screen. It also sports 60 degrees of angle and over 4000 levels of pressure.Final ThoughtsIt’s rare that you see a first edition of a product line with only a few flaws, but the OnePlus Pad hits this mark. This initial release of the company’s first tablet is beautifully built, has good software tweaks, and exceptional accessories. This should make it a list topper for anyone looking to have a productivity combination in an Android tablet. The OnePlus Pad costs $480 for just the tablet from the OnePlus website. If you’d like to add the Magnetic Keyboard or Stylo, that will set you back another $150 and $100 respectively. One or all of these are great new options for the Android market worth the purchase price.

BLUETTI AC500 vs. AC300: What’s Changed?

Come out on topThe BLUETTI AC500, an iterative upgrade to the well-received classic model AC300, made its debut on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo and achieved remarkable success. In just two months, it raised over $12 million and eventually broke the world record for any portable power station fundraising event, with a staggering $12,281,325 funding from 5,183 backers. While getting new things can certainly bring us joy, a price difference over $1,000 may make people hesitate and wonder – is the older AC300 still a viable option? Let’s take a closer look.Comparison of AC300 & AC500ModelAC300AC500Rated Power3,000W5,000WScalabilityUp to 4*B300Up to 6* B300S or 4*B300Fully Packed System Power120/240V, 6kW, 24.6kWh120/240V, 10kW, 36.8kWhMax. For example, while the AC300 boasts a 3,000W pure sine wave inverter for continuous output power, the AC500 has raised the bar to 5,000W to accommodate even greater power demands. In addition, the AC300 can be paired with up to 4 B300 battery packs for a total capacity of 12,288Wh, whereas the AC500 can support up to 6 x B300S for a maximum capacity of 18,432Wh or 4 x B300 for 12,288Wh.Both the AC300 and AC500 offer the Split Phase Bonding function for 120V markets, which allows users to create a fully packed system of 240V, 6kW, and 24.6kWh for two AC300 units (with Fusion Box required) or 240V, 7.2kW, and 36.8kWh when connecting two AC500 units in series (also, requires a Fusion Box), or you may connect two AC500s to a home distribution panel to get up to 240V, 10000Watt of groundbreaking power as your home backup power source. These improvements demonstrate BLUETTI’s ongoing commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers and providing them with the best possible experience with heavy loads.Fast Charging: Unrivalled SpeedThe AC300 system features an impressive input rate of up to 5,400W (with at least 2 B300 battery packs required), which can be achieved via AC outlet and solar panels simultaneously. However, the AC500 takes this a step further with a maximum charging speed of 8,000W. This means that an AC500 system with 2 x B300S battery packs can go from 0 to 80% charge in just 40 minutes, which is truly remarkable and probably the fastest charging rate among all competitorrs. Furthermore, the long-lasting built-in LiFePO4 battery cell ensures that users need not worry about any potential issues that may arise during fast charging.Solar Energy: Let the sun power all your funBoth the AC300 and AC500 are designed to make it easy for users to access free and clean solar energy wherever the sun is shining. The AC300 system can support a maximum solar input of 2,400W, while the AC500 can handle up to 3,000W of solar input. This means that users can enjoy a reliable power supply even in remote areas without access to traditional electricity sources.Once solar power has been converted into usable energy, the AC300 and AC500 can deliver constant power to devices or store any excess energy in their batteries for later use. A wide range of portable or rigid solar panels, including the BLUETTI PV200, PV350, and PV420, can be used to efficiently charge both the AC300 and AC500. With this range of solar panel options, users can select the one that best meets their needs based on factors such as capacity, portability, and efficiency.Battery Pack: Same Capacity comes with major upgradesThe B300 and B300S are both expansion battery packs that offer a versatile power source for various devices. While they can be used as standalone power sources, the B300S has been improved with a maximum solar input of 500W to reduce charging time effectively.Additionally, the B300S is designed with an intelligent self-heating capability to improve low-temperature discharging performance and extend the LiFePO4 battery life. In colder temperatures, it can take some time for a power station to wake up and work actively. However, the B300S can heat up responsively even when the ambient temperature is as low as -20℃, ensuring that the AC500 system operates smoothly during the winter months. With these enhancements, the B300S is an ideal choice for users who want reliable power storage and efficient charging capabilities.Capability: An easy upgrade for existing B300 users. In addition to the B300S expansion battery pack, the AC500 power station is also compatible with the B300. This means that users of the AC300 and B300 system can access 170% of current power by simply purchasing the new AC500 head unit instead of having to replace the entire system. Additionally, users don’t have to worry about choosing the right battery pack since both the B300 and B300S can be mixed in an AC500 system, allowing for a total of up to four packs. This provides users with a cost-effective and convenient solution to upgrading their power system while still making use of their existing equipment.AC300: Is it still worth it?  Until today, packed with 3000W output and input power, and the potential to a 24.6kwh expansion, the AC300 is still highly competent in most applications, and it can cover almost 95% of the AC500’s capabilities. When considering the price difference of up to $1,200 (Sometimes the difference can be bigger), the AC300 may be a more budget-friendly option for users who don’t require extreme performance. On the other hand, the AC500 would be a better choice for those living in colder areas, as it offers higher power and more efficient charge/discharge rates.
