Sony’s DualSense controllers are almost 30 percent off

Sony has a tradition of marking down its PlayStation 5 hardware a couple of times a year, and one of those opportunities to save is here through June 10th. Its latest Days of Play sale is happening at multiple retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and at Sony’s site as well. It loops in almost everything that Sony’s PlayStation division has released — games, headphones, DualSense controllers, PSVR 2 headsets — everything except the consoles themselves.

This post is focusing on DualSense controllers, which have dropped to familiar (but welcome) prices. You can get the standard model for $54.99 (originally $74.99) in several single-tone colors. This price is available through Sony, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, and Target. Some models cost more, including themed controllers based on a game, but are still each $20 off their normal prices.

Where to Buy:

  • $74.99 $54 at Amazon
  • $74.99 $54 at Walmart
  • $74.99 $54.99 at Best Buy

The standard model is fantastic for PC players, not just for those who own a PlayStation 5. Its immersive haptics and resistance triggers feel great to use with games that support the features. Otherwise, it’s a very comfortable gamepad to use on any platform that supports Bluetooth.

All of the accessories that are included with the DualSense Edge spread out on a table. It includes a cable, a hard case, four back paddles, four replaceable analog stick heads, and a cable locking mechanism.

As you may already know, Sony also makes the DualSense Edge, a high-end alternative that has replaceable thumbstick modules, customizable back paddles, and a function key that grants you the ability to swap control schemes on-the-fly. The $199 model is now down to $169 in white or black, the same price that Sony offers for refurbished units. You can find this deal at PlayStation’s site, as well as at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target.

Sony DualSense Edge

Sony’s pro-style controller, the DualSense Edge, might suffer from shorter battery life than the standard DualSense model, but it features great software integration with the PlayStation 5 and plenty of customizable components.
