Missing your BlackBerry? The Clicks Communicator brings back the physical keyboard –and a 3.5mm headphone jack

  • The Clicks Communicator is a new Android phone
  • With a physical keyboard, it has a strong BlackBerry vibe
  • You can currently reserve your handset for $399

It’s been a long time since a proper BlackBerry phone was available on the market, but Clicks is bringing the idea of a physical smartphone keyboard back for 2026 with the new Clicks Communicator – one of many new gadgets being shown off at CES 2026.

Clicks is known for its keyboard attachments that first launched in 2024, and we’ve already seen the new Clicks Power Keyboard unveiled at CES 2026: a slide-out keyboard for your phone that also offers wireless charging over MagSafe or Qi2.

The Clicks Communicator is the first standalone phone from the company, and it definitely has a BlackBerry vibe. You get a physical keyboard on the bottom, and a 4.03-inch AMOLED, 1080 x 1200 pixel display on the top.

Android 16 is on software duties, but it’s wrapped in a custom version of the Niagara Launcher. Messaging and productivity apps (like WhatsApp, Slack, and Gmail) are front and center, though you can install any app you like from the Google Play Store.

Focusing on productivity

The emphasis here is very much on messaging and productivity, with everything else pushed to the side: there’s just a single 50MP rear camera, for example. It’s mostly for getting some serious typing done on the go.

There’s a 4,000 mAh battery inside, and 256GB of internal storage. In a double nod to the phones of yesteryear, you get both a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microSD card slot, which lets you up the on-board storage to a maximum of 2TB.

Clicks even suggests you might want to use this as a secondary phone alongside your main one. It’s definitely made to appeal to fans of BlackBerrys, for work on the go – there’s a neat side button for quickly recording voice memos as well.

You can also get swappable back covers for the Clicks Communicator, if you ever want to change up the style. It ships later this year, and you can reserve yours now for an early bird price of $399 (about £295 / AU$595), with the full price set at $499 (about £370 / AU$740).
