Apple picks Google’s Gemini AI for its big Siri upgrade

Apple will use Google’s Gemini AI model to power a more personalized Siri coming this year. “After careful evaluation, we determined that Google’s technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models and we’re excited about the innovative new experiences it will unlock for our users,” Apple said in a statement provided to CNBC.

The multi-year partnership will allow Apple to use Google Gemini and the company’s cloud technology for its future models, CNBC reports. Apple didn’t immediately respond to The Verge‘s request for more information.
