The Meta Quest 3S is $50 off and is bundled with a $50 gift card and game

If you’re looking for a last-minute gift for a gamer, you’re in luck. Both Best Buy and Target are offering the 128GB Meta Quest 3S VR headset for around $249 ($50 off) and include a $50 gift card on top of that. Best Buy has bundled the headset with a copy of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, while Target’s bundle includes a 3-month trial of Meta’s Horizon Plus subscription, which gets you instant access to a library of over 50 games.

Best Buy and Target are also offering a model of the headset with 256GB of storage for $349.99 ($50 off) along with a $50 gift card, a copy of Batman: Arkham Shadow, and a 3-month trial of Meta Horizon Plus.

Meta Quest 3S

The Meta Quest 3S is a battery-powered standalone VR headset runs the same chipset as the pricier Quest 3, along with the lenses and screen resolution as the Quest 2. It can also be connected to a PC to play VR games like Half-Life Alyx. Read our review.

Where to Buy:

  • $299 $249 at Best Buy (128GB, with $50 gift card)
  • $299.99 $249.99 at Target (128GB, with $50 gift card)
  • $399.99 $349.99 at Best Buy (256GB, with $50 gift card)

The Quest 3S is a standalone virtual reality headset that has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor as the more expensive Meta Quest 3, but the lenses, field of view, and per-eye resolution (1823 x 1920 pixels per eye) of the Quest 2. The headset’s lower resolution is outweighed by the ability to play the latest compatible VR games at their top speed. The Quest 3S can also be connected to a gaming PC wirelessly using Meta’s AirLink app or the official Steam Link app.

Our reviewer played Batman: Arkham Shadow and Maestro while testing the Quest 3S, and came away impressed. He also praised the headset’s library, which includes Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber. The Quest 3S is one of the best standalone VR headsets you can get, and it’s an even better choice while it’s on sale and includes extras.
