The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro seems to be imminent, based on the latest leak

  • The Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are set to launch
  • These earbuds have been approved by the FCC
  • We might see them appear alongside the Galaxy S26

We’ve been hearing plenty about the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro in recent months, and now it looks as though the launch of these wireless earbuds is imminent, according to new information that’s emerged online.

As spotted by SamMobile, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro have been approved over at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US – an essential regulatory step for any gadget that is going to go on sale in the United States.

There’s no mention in this report of the standard Galaxy Buds 4, but we’ll almost certainly see both pairs of wireless earbuds launch together, and once FCC certification is out of the way it doesn’t usually take long for a product to appear.

The filing doesn’t really tell us much about the earbuds, but previous leaks have revealed a flatter and more compact design this time around. It looks as though head gestures for answering calls might be supported too, as we’ve already seen on the Apple AirPods.

Now overdue

Another earlier leak pointed towards parts that were apparently set for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, though the list that was published didn’t give us any solid pointers about the features and audio upgrades that the earbuds might bring with them.

Considering the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and the Samsung Buds 3 were launched in July 2024 – alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, you might remember – it could be argued that the fourth generation versions are now overdue.

We’re most likely looking at a launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, and those phones are rumored to be showing up in February. We might even see phones and earbuds combined in various preorder offers, when the time comes.

Considering references to these earbuds have already started showing up in Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software, which is currently in beta testing, it shouldn’t be too long now before we get some new contenders for our best wireless earbuds list.
