We’ll start with Amazon’s cheapest e-reader, the six-inch Kindle, which is on sale for $89.99 (originally $109.99). The 16GB Kindle is perfect for those who need a basic e-reader with an impressive battery life.

The Kindle Paperwhite is Amazon’s most popular e-reader, and it’s on sale for $134.99 (originally $154.99). The Paperwhite is water-resistant, features a seven-inch glare-free display, and has weeks of battery life.

With the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, on sale for $159.99 (originally $199.99), you get all the features from the Kindle Paperwhite, plus more storage and speed, an auto-adjusting front light, and wireless charging.

Keep in mind these are limited-time offers, and discounts on Kindle e-readers are rare. All models currently ship before Christmas, but that will change as we get closer to that December 25 date.

Today’s best Kindle deals at Amazon

This is a great deal on Amazon’s most basic Kindle, just $10 shy of the record-low price from Black Friday. It isn’t water-resistant, so you’ll need to take extra care by the pool, but it can still hold dozens of books, lasts for weeks on a single charge, and can even play Audible Audiobooks. I still love this Kindle for its simplicity, especially if most of your books and audiobooks are already in Amazon’s library.View Deal

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is the Kindle most people should buy. It is durable, with IP68 water resistance that can withstand sand and a splash of saltwater at the beach. I was able to read for hours a day for more than a week with a single battery charge, and listening to Audible audiobooks is also a joy. This is $10 shy of the record low on the latest Kindle Paperwhite, so don’t hesitate if you want to read a lot of books on the go. View Deal

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition costs a bit more, but you get some interesting feature additions. There’s wireless charging, which is especially convenient if you read a ton and just want to grab and go before and after bed. You’ll need a charging stand, but any wireless charger works fine. You also get a bit more storage inside, so if you’re an especially avid reader or you have a ton of audiobooks, this is the way to go.View Deal
