VisionQuest gets an unlikely cast upgrade as Philomena Cunk star reportedly lands mystery role in new Marvel TV show

  • Two new additions to VisionQuest‘s cast have reportedly been revealed
  • Philomena Cunk star Diane Morgan will be an ally of one of the show’s antagonists
  • Newcomer Lauren Morais is also said to be part of the Marvel TV show’s ensemble

VisionQuest, one of 2026’s new Marvel TV shows, has reportedly received the most unlikely of cast upgrades in the form of UK comedian Diane Morgan.

Per Variety, Morgan, who’s best known to British audiences by her quirky TV and stage personality Philomena Cunk, is said to be part of the Marvel Phase 6 TV series’ cast. The same outlet has claimed newcomer Lauren Morais (Mudtown, The Crow Girl) is also part of its expanding ensemble.

VisionQuest is one of many Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV shows that’ll debut on Disney+ sometime in 2026. The Paul Bettany-led TV show is the final entry of a Marvel TV trilogy that began with 2021’s WandaVision and continued with last year’s Agatha All Along.

Outside of a tentative 2026 launch window, there’s no word on when VisionQuest will be released on Disney+, aka one of the world’s best streaming services. However, principal photography is believed to have wrapped in July, so a mid- to late 2026 debut is the most likely scenario.

Who are Diane Morgan and Lauren Morais reportedly playing in VisionQuest?

Potential spoilers follow for VisionQuest. You have been warned.

According to Variety, Morgan will portray an associate of one of VisionQuest‘s antagonistic figures in Paladin.

The latter – whose real name is unknown, but who occasionally uses the alias Paul Denning in Marvel Comics – is a mercenary who’ll reportedly try to hunt down Vision to acquire the advanced technology housed within the synthezoid.

“Hang on, didn’t Vision die in Avengers: Infinity War?”, I hear you ask – and you’d be right. However, in WandaVision, the android’s corpse was reanimated by the nefarious corporation known as S.W.O.R.D.

Vision’s soul-less body – who fought an imaginary version of the same character (for those who haven’t seen WandaVision, it’s a long story) in WandaVision‘s final episode – was last glimpsed in one of the best Disney+ shows’ finale. Indeed, he was seen flying to whereabouts unknown after he regained the original Vision’s memories from the imaginary iteration of the superpowered being. As I said, it’s complicated.

As for Morais’ character, Variety has claimed she’s playing Lisa Molinari, who’s closely related to Ruaridh Mollica’s Thomas Shepherd. Some fans believe the latter is a pseudonym adopted by Mollica’s character, who’s really Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed, aka one of Wanda and Vision’s twin sons.

Molinari isn’t a novel invention for VisionQuest, either. In the comics, she’s a juvenile offender who adopts the alias Coat of Arms when she finds (and keeps!) and an item of clothing called Tiboro’s Coat, which give her two extra set of arms when she wears it, allows her to fly, and enables her to wield multiple swords in combat.
