This affordable TCL TV is one of the best I’ve tested in 2025, and it’s just dropped to a record-low price for Black Friday

TCL’s mini-LED TVs are among some of the best we’ve seen this year at TechRadar, and the excellent mid-range TCL QM7K 65-inch has dropped back to a record-low price of $799.99 (was $999.99) at Amazon US.

If you’re in the UK, you can pick up the TCL Q7C 55-inch for £599 (was £629) at Amazon UK. It’s not the biggest discount, but this TV is an exceptional value at full price, so any discount is an added bonus.

The QM7K/Q7C is a superb value, delivering bright pictures and brilliant performance and features for gaming that exceed its affordable price. It’ll easily be one of the star products in the early Black Friday deals leading up to the day itself on November 28.

Today’s best TCL QM7K Black Friday deal in the US

The TCL QM7K is an exceptional value, delivering bright, contrast-rich picture quality with both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR supported and a near full suite of gaming features, with 4K 144Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro, ALLM, and Dolby Vision gaming all featured. This deal takes the 65-inch model back to its record-low price of $799.99: that’s a saving of $200 on an already excellent value TV. View Deal

The TCL Q7C (AKA the TCL C7K in some retailers) delivers bold, vibrant picture quality with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, as well as a great suite of gaming features, including 4K 144Hz and FreeSync Premium Pro support, making it a great TV for gaming and movies. While this deal only knocks off £30, any saving on this already brilliant value TV is worth it. View Deal

When I first reviewed the TCL C7K (the same TV as the Q7C but with a different name), I was impressed by its picture quality. Its color reproduction made movies such as Elemental and Wicked really pop on screen, but it also delivered strong contrast and blacks that suited movies such as The Batman and Alien: Romulus. It also delivers 1,790 nits peak HDR brightness (high for this price range), giving movies real impact in their highlights.

Our thoughts were similar in testing the TCL QM7K, where we were particularly surprised with the effectiveness of its Halo Control tech. This effectively limited blooming to create powerful contrast and deep blacks, something that has been an issue for mini-LED TVs in this price range in previous years. It’s easily one of the best TVs for picture quality at this price we’ve seen.

The QM7K/Q7C also has gaming performance and features to match the best gaming TVs. It supports 4K 144Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro VRR, Dolby Vision gaming, and ALLM. Its 13.5ms input lag time produces smooth gameplay, which was more than capable of handling the fast action of games I played, such as Battlefield V. At this price range, this is one of the best affordable gaming displays available.
