This 30% discount on the Acer Chromebook Plus 515 is probably the best early Black Friday Chromebook deal I’ve seen so far

Black Friday is almost upon us, folks, and there’s no better time of year to snap up a new laptop – especially if you’re looking to buy one of the best Chromebooks. These Google-powered laptops are the perfect low-cost companion for everyday work and school needs, and with today’s Black Friday discounts, you can easily snag a great Chromebook at a great price.

One such great price can be found right now, with a respectable 30% price cut on the Acer Chromebook Plus 515, now $299.99 (was $429.99) at Amazon. Now, there are certainly Chromebooks out there that can be found for less than 300 bucks, but once you’re south of that figure in MSRP, you’re normally looking at a decidedly budget-feeling device.

Not so with the Acer Chromebook Plus 515, though: with an Intel Core processor and 8GB of RAM, this isn’t one of the underpowered laptops that can give Chromebooks a bad name. Sure, it’s no MacBook-beater, but if you want a speedy and reliable device for straightforward tasks – think browsing the web, working on documents, and watching videos – then this is a good pick.

Today’s best Acer Chromebook Plus 515 deal

Display – 15.6-inch
Processor – Intel Core i3-1305U
RAM – 8GB
Storage – 256GB

If you’re looking for a straightforward and reliable laptop to handle everyday tasks for work and school, the Acer Chromebook Plus 515 is a solid choice. With a 15.6-inch Full HD display and Google AI in ChromeOS, this is one of the best Chromebook deals we’ve seen so far this Black Friday thanks to a hefty 30% discount.View Deal

Chromebooks have come a long way since their humble beginnings as bargain-basement netbooks. With the latest version of ChromeOS, you can now access Google’s AI tools at the touch of a button – and you get 12 months of free access to Google AI Pro, plus 2TB of cloud storage, with your purchase.

That’s not even mentioning how great ChromeOS is itself. This lightweight operating system can run smoothly on lower-spec hardware than competitors like Windows 11 and macOS, helping keep the price of Chromebooks down. There’s a great selection of parental control features for parents looking to buy a laptop for a younger kid, and cross-compatibility with the Google Play Store means that many Android apps can run on ChromeOS too.

Funnily enough, we haven’t reviewed this exact model, but I feel pretty confident recommending it, since we have reviewed both its little and big siblings: the Acer Chromebook Plus 514 and Plus 516, both of which took home respectable four-star ratings from our reviews team. Considering that the Plus 515 is simply the 15-inch middle child, I’m certain it can deliver the same reliable Google-powered performance.
