Overall, the Series 10 remains an excellent smartwatch despite being over a year old. It offers a larger, wide-angle OLED display that makes text more visible from just about every angle, and it’s relatively svelte, coming in at 10 percent thinner than the older Series 9. It also boasts Apple’s S10 SiP (System in Package) chip and supports features like FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection and hypertension notifications with the release of watchOS 26.
The Series 10 also charges quickly thanks to a larger charging coil inside, allowing you to take the watch from zero to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. That means, if you forget to charge it overnight, you can top it off before you head out the door. The wearable also supports blood oxygen monitoring thanks to a recent software update, circumventing the import ban imposed by the International Trade Commission.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option, the last-gen Apple Watch SE is also on sale for $159.99 ($90 off) at Amazon. Apple recently introduced the upgraded Watch SE 3 — which is currently discounted to $199.99 — but the SE 2 remains a solid option for first-time smartwatch buyers.
