Sony’s Black Friday headphones deals started arriving early – get Sony headphones and earbuds from just $38 / £30!

I’m as cynical about Black Friday deals as the next savvy shopper, but there’s a reason I always wait for this time of year before buying headphones and earbuds: it’s saved me a fortune over the years, because there are always good discounts on big-name brands – such as Sony, whose headphones and earbuds are being discounted by often dramatic price cuts this year.

There are lots of deals here, but the ones that have particularly caught my eye are the new WF-C710N earbuds going for just $79 in the US and £74.99 in the UK, a surprisingly early discount, and the evergreen WH-1000XM5 – among our favorite ANC over-ears – for just $248 in the US and £199 in the UK. Those are great prices on genuinely great earbuds and headphones – and if you’re on a tight budget you can get a pair of Sonys for less than $40 in the US and £31 in the UK.

Sony on-ears for under $40? That’s not a mistake: this deal takes a cool 46% off the list price, making them good contenders to buy again, even though they’re getting a little old. We said in our Sony WH-CH520 review they are “simply superb value” at the time, and this deal keeps them that way. They sound good, they run for 50 hours between charges, and they’re comfortable too – but you won’t get fancier features such as active noise cancellation.View Deal

We said in our review of the WF-C510 that these are among our favorite low-cost earbuds thanks to their punchy, high-quality sound, comfortable fit and ultra-affordable price. We rated them four and a half stars when they were at full price, and said they’re preferable even to Apple’s more expensive AirPods 4 as great budget buds. At this discounted price they’re an absolute steal, as long as you’re happy without active noise cancellation.View Deal

Sony’s newest mid-range wireless earbuds for less than $80 in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale? Yup: this is a real bargain. For this money, you’re getting Sony quality for the kind of money you’d expect to pay for a much lesser brand. In our Sony WF-C710N review, we heaped praise on these buds for their bolstered battery life, fantastic sound quality and upgraded ANC. At this price point, my recommending them is a no-brainer – at a third of the price of the high-end Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds, we think these are the better-value buy.View Deal

If you’re looking for a superb set of noise-cancelling over-ears but don’t want to pay a lot of cash, this deal on the excellent WH-CH720N headphones is superb: you’re getting nearly 50% off the MSRP. As we said in our WH-CH720N review, you’re getting a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. These mid-range over-ears are comfortable, enjoyable and deliver solid noise-blocking too.View Deal

These headphones may have been superseded by the excellent XM6, but if you’ve been eyeing up the Sony WH-1000XM5 but didn’t like their fairly high price tag – I’ve listed their original MSRP, although they’ve been hovering just below $340 several times this year – then today is a good day to buy. These premium headphones have just dropped below $250, and this is the lowest they’ve ever been – and at that price they’re an excellent buy. Check out our full Sony WH-1000XM5 review to get all the details. I like these headphones a lot: they deliver very good active noise cancellation, superior comfort, and Sony sound quality. They’d make a good gift for somebody special, and that somebody could be you.View Deal

Today’s best UK Sony headphones Black Friday deals

Sony on-ear headphones for under £31 are real. We said in our Sony WH-CH520 review that these are “simply superb value”, and while the world of budget headphones has caught up with them since their launch a couple of years ago, this discount puts them back in a good place. They sound very well-balanced, they go for 50 hours between charges, and they’re comfortable for on-ears. You’ll struggle to get comparable headphones for such a low price.View Deal

If you’re looking for a set of well-made noise-cancelling over-ear headphones on a budget, this is a great deal: you’re getting £30 off the RRP. As we said in our Sony WH-CH720N review, you’re getting a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. These mid-range over-ears are comfortable, enjoyable to listen to, and do a decent job of blocking outside sounds.View Deal

These are Sony’s newest mid-tier wireless earbuds, and getting them for less than £75 in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale is a fantastic bargain. This is £5 cheaper than they were during the last big sales event (Amazon Big Deal Days) and they’re Sony’s best sound-per-pound earbuds in our opinion – better value on balance than the higher-price Sony WF-1000XM5. In our Sony WF-C710N review, we heaped praise on these buds for their bolstered battery life, fantastic sound quality, upgraded noise cancellation over their predecessors, and some key extra features.View Deal

The Sony WH-1000XM4 have been around for a while now, but they’re so good that they continued to top our best headphones guide long after their successors had launched. In our five-star Sony WH-1000XM4 review we wondered if they were the best headphones ever made – and we’ve compared the XM4s to both the XM5 and XM6 and still found them to be great buys. Their noise cancellation is practically as good as the XM5’s, they sound good, and they’re super-comfy too.View Deal

If you’ve been eyeing up the Sony WH-1000XM5 but have been put off by the admittedly high price tag (I’ve listed their original RRP, although they’ve been hovering around £259 for a little while), now is probably the time to act. These premium headphones have just dropped below £200 and for that money, they’re an excellent buy – our Sony WH-1000XM5 review is the place to go for that. The Sony WH-1000XM6 might be out now, but they cost twice as much – the XM6 are a clear upgrade, but I think a lot of people will be happier keeping the £200 in their pocket. This version of the Sony XM5 comes with a soft bag case instead of a hard case, saving you a little extra.View Deal
