The answers to today’s Strands, game #619, are…

  • ACROSS
  • DOWN
  • BYLINE
  • CLUES
  • GRID
  • ANSWERS
  • NUMBERS
  • SPANGRAM: CROSSWORD
  • My rating: Easy
  • My score: Perfect

After getting ACROSS and then the spangram first I was left in little doubt about the words we were searching for today – although I was delighted to find “burgers” among the non-game words.

This goes down as a near-perfect Strands for me – not too hard or too easy, with a topic all puzzlers will find fun and some interesting word choices.

Plus, it wasn’t until I played this game that I realized how many different elements there are to a CROSSWORD, so it’s made me appreciate them all the more…

Yesterday’s NYT Strands answers (Tuesday, November 11, game #618)

  • HARE
  • TORTOISE
  • MOUSE
  • LION
  • CRANE
  • BULL
  • WOLF
  • GNAT
  • SPANGRAM: FABLEDPAIR
