New leak shows the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 vlogging camera in action ahead of its official launch

  • Another DJI Osmo Pocket 4 leak has appeared
  • It shows the back of the vlogging camera in action
  • An official launch shouldn’t be too far off now

We’re expecting to see quite a few new DJI products in the coming weeks, including the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 vlogging camera – and now a fresh image leak has shown the device in action out in the wild, ahead of an official unveiling.

This leak is from The New Camera (via Notebookcheck), and it looks as though it shows the upcoming camera right alongside the current model. It’s possibly some kind of performance test or promotional shoot for the product.

So what does the image tell us about the successor to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3? Not too much that we don’t already know from previous leaks, including that the new model is going to have a thinner, more refined design.

While the as-yet-unannounced camera looks taller than the model it’s replacing in this shot, the angle the picture is taken at and the shooting rig being used probably means there’s not too much difference here in terms of height.

Upgrades on the way

We’ve already seen leaked images of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, pointing at two major upgrades in particular: a second camera sensor to improve photo and video capture, and an extra screen fitted to the front of the camera.

Those improvements to the current model, plus the heritage that DJI has built up, mean that this is likely to be an instant contender for our best vlogging camera list – and we’re now expecting a launch sooner rather than later.

The leaked image we have here isn’t of a particularly high quality, so we can’t see too many details on the camera, but if we’re seeing it being tested in the real world like this then an official unveiling can’t be too far off.

What’s more, it seems probable that we’ll also see the DJI Osmo Action 6 as well within the next few weeks, plus a global rollout for the DJI Neo 2. With a US ban looming for DJI though, it’s not clear if these devices will launch in that country.
