HBO Max is $2.99 through Prime Video this Black Friday – and this is your sign to binge-watch Welcome to Derry

HBO Max is the place to be if you want binge-worthy TV shows, including newcomer Welcome to Derry.

Right now, there’s a cheaper, unmissable way to stream Welcome to Derry and more. You can get HBO Max at a reduced cost of $2.99 for 12 months, as part of a Prime Video add-on channel.

I’ve already covered Prime Video’s streaming sale with 32 discounted add-on subscriptions, but this HBO deal in particular is far too good to miss.

There’s plenty more where Welcome to Derry came from, as The Conjuring: Last Rites was just added to one of the best streaming services. So horror fans really are in for a treat this Black Friday.

As for Welcome to Derry, it’s frankly unmissable TV, and with a deal as great as this, you’ve got a great excuse to treat yourself and binge-watch the latest episodes.

While you must be a Prime Video ( from $8.99 / £5.99 / AU$9.99) member to sign up for the deal, all old and new HBO Max subscribers are eligible for the Black Friday offer.

Why Welcome to Derry is the ultimate horror binge watch on HBO Max

If you haven’t seen previews and clips from Welcome to Derry, you may have been living under a rock. It’s the biggest horror series at the moment, with plenty of fans tuning in each week. With compelling characters and some seriously shocking moments, it’s a complete must-watch.

Acting as a prequel to Stephen King’s iconic novel, filmmakers Barbara and Andy Muschietti are back with more from Pennywise and those he torments. You can also stream IT: Chapter One and IT: Chapter Two on HBO Max, if you need a recap of the Muschietti’s original IT movies.

Here, though, Welcome to Derry goes back to 1962, following a couple and their son who move to Derry, Maine, just as a young boy disappears. Amid their arrival, a lot of awful things happen, often graphically depicted. Trust me, there’s some jaw-dropping horror going on here.

I am a huge fan of this series and recently had the chance to speak to the Muschiettis about it, where they told me “The book is full of enigmas and questions”, inspiring them to try and answer or expand on some of them.

Right now, we’re not sure about the future of the HBO horror series, but I do hope it gets renewed, as I’m very invested in it.
