How streaming from Hulu will look going forward is still a bit of a mystery, with confirmation from Disney that the standalone service will be closed down in 2026 in favor of a “a fully integrated unified app experience” similar to that already enjoyed by international users since the rebrand of the Star (not Starz, confusingly) section of Disney+ to Hulu back in October. However, for now, at least, Hulu is set to continue operating as it is, and either way, the changes won’t affect the content you receive as part of this deal, just, potentially, how you receive it.

It’s still a deal that’s absolutely worth pulling the trigger on though, with not one but two of the best streaming services on offer for less than three bucks a month. Considering Hulu saw a price increase this year that set the new base plan at $11.99, and that adding Starz to your package currently costs an additional $10.99, you’re looking at a phenomenal saving.

It’s an absolute steal considering what you’ll get access to across both streamers. On the Hulu side of things, we’re talking some of the year’s biggest shows with the likes of Alien: Earth and All’s Fair available alongside returning seasons of The Bear, The Handmaid’s Tale, Only Murders in the Building and The Kardashians. On the exclusive movie side of things, there’s Predator: Killer of Killers, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle and more, alongside a plethora of films old and new from 20th Century Studios (formerly Fox).

With Starz, you’re going to get access to mega-hit TV franchises like the Outlander universe and the Power saga, as well as the Spartacus series, including its new installment House of Ashur, which starts on December 5. There’s also dark British dramas such as Sweetpea and The Couple Next Door, and some of the best under-seen shows of the past decade or so in Black Sails, Party Down and Ash vs. Evil Dead.

In terms of movies, Starz is the place to catch up on the Now You See Me franchise before heading to theaters for the third installment, and also the home of this year’s John Wick spin-off Ballerina.

Needless to say then, the Hulu add-on deal for Starz is getting you rather a lot for your money, especially at such a huge discount. The future may be a little unclear for the Disney-owned streamer, but one thing’s for sure: at just $2.99 per month, it’s hard to go wrong.
