Looking at it solely as a VPN, it’s not one we think merits a place in our best VPN list, but it’s still a solid choice for people who want to go with a trusted name in cybersecurity.

Norton VPN’s Plus and Ultimate plans come with antivirus support that defends against malware and ransomware, in addition to AI-powered Scam Protection. This is a new feature that uses AI to alert users to suspicious texts and fraudulent websites. Users can consult the AI in real-time if they think they’ve received a suspicious message or email.

While it doesn’t offer quite as many VPN protocols as some other providers, Norton VPN is no slouch when it comes to features. It covers all the basics we would expect from any VPN we recommend, including obfuscated servers, multi-hop connections, a kill switch, and download speeds that edge out some of our top VPN picks.
