The answers to today’s Strands, game #590, are…

  • PEBBLE
  • STONE
  • BOULDER
  • JELLY
  • DINNER
  • CRESCENT
  • SPANGRAM: ROCKANDROLL
  • My rating: Easy
  • My score: Perfect

After getting PEBBLE, STONE, BOULDER and then the spangram in quick succession I was sure that I would be looking for more rocks, but I quickly hit an, erm, rock.

Instead, Strands pulled off a cunning board division and the second half of my search was looking for rolls – very clever – of which JELLY was the first I found.

Despite this cunning trick, this was still an easy game with only the lengthy spangram providing a challenge to pick out.

Yesterday’s NYT Strands answers (Monday, October 13, game #589)

  • FINCH
  • HAWK
  • GOOSE
  • DUCK
  • WARBLER
  • WREN
  • THRUSH
  • SPANGRAM: FALLMIGRATION
