I test soundbars, and these 3 Dolby Atmos soundbars are getting great Prime Day deals

Amazon Prime Day sales are here, running October 7-8, and I’ve been scouring the listings to find the best deals on the best Dolby Atmos soundbars. Some great deals are happening now at Amazon, and three in particular that caught my eye are: the Sony HT-S2000 for $298, and £289.99 in the UK; the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus for $149.99, and £169.99 in the UK; and the Sonos Beam Gen 2 for $369, and £327 in the UK.

Those are great deals on soundbars that typically sell for quite a bit more, though all are still in the budget soundbar range, selling for under $500/£500 at regular prices.

Each of these is a compact soundbar that delivers virtual Dolby Atmos processing. They can all be expanded on by adding optional wireless surround speakers and subwoofers, and they all connect to your TV via HDMI eARC.

Amazon Prime Day Dolby Atmos soundbar deals in the US

Amazon’s Prime Day deal on the HT-S2000 brings it back to its lowest-ever sales event price. Sony’s budget soundbar is a 3.1-channel model that delivers clear dialogue and can be expanded with the company’s optional subwoofer and surround speakers for a full 5.1-channel system. This deal is one we recommend you jump on before the price increases.View Deal

Amazon’s step-up soundbar has good sound for the price, and that price is now even better in this Prime Day deal. For the money, you’re getting a 3.1-channel soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support plus Bluetooth for music streaming. Amazon offers bundle deals for the Fire TV Soundbar Plus with a subwoofer and surround speakers, so check out those deals as well at the link.View Deal

Sonos doesn’t often discount its products, so a Prime Day sale on the company’s compact soundbar is a welcome event. The Beam Gen 2 comes in your choice of black or white and features Wi-Fi streaming for music, as well as multiroom connection with other Sonos speakers via the Sonos app. Simply put, this is a rare deal on an impressive soundbar.View Deal

The Sony HT-S2000 is a 3.1-channel soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. It has Bluetooth wireless streaming for music, delivers clear dialogue, and has Sony’s S-Force processing to upmix stereo signals for surround sound. The HT-S2000 is TechRadar’s top budget soundbar pick, and is a great choice for anyone looking to affordably upgrade their TV’s sound.

The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus is another 3.1-channel soundbar that delivers good sound for cheap. Like the Sony, it has both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support and Bluetooth streaming for music. Its performance falls a bit short compared to the Sony HT-S2000, but it’s also a solid sound upgrade for your TV, and an inexpensive one.

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is available in black or white and features virtual Dolby Atmos processing. One advantage of the Beam Gen 2 is that it uses Wi-Fi for music streaming, and you can control it with the Sonos app, which also lets you link the soundbar up with other Sonos speakers in a multiroom music system.
