New and exciting PS4 releases seem to come out each month, giving dedicated gamers plenty of worlds to choose from. With the PS5 officially here, fans now keep track of multiple new releases and updates more than ever. Fortunately, we’ve gathered all of the best titles and listed other worthy games for you to consider adding to your collection. Here are all the PS4 and PS5 releases to look out for in September.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated games of the year, Deathloop is the latest game from developers Arkane Studio, the makers behind the Dishonored and Prey series. In Deathloop, players take on the role of Colt, an assassin who is stuck in a time loop and must find a way out or else be forced to relive the same day over and over.

Just two years after the initial launch of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, the Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is set to launch later this month. Featuring major upgrades to the game, including a race track, more ways to deliver packages, and even new story content, the Director’s Cut is the new definitive way to experience Kojima’s latest game.

The legendary sports game franchise is back once again, this time with some major overhauls that should have fans excited to play. This year, NBA 2K22 looks to inject even more realism into the series, with authentic arena commentators joining the game for their real-life NBA teams, more upgrades to the WNBA experience, and the return of some fan-favorite modes like MyCareer.

It’s that time of year, where more and more highly anticipated games begin releasing. In September, a handful of major games release, with some of the most anticipated titles of the year slowly beginning to make their way out and onto systems.

First up, Deathloop brings it with one of the biggest titles of the year, with Arkane Studios looking to deliver yet another stellar gaming experience in the form of this first-person shooter. If you’re looking to jump into an upgraded experience, then Death Stranding Director’s Cut might be for you. It might be a bit easier to deliver cargo this time around, but the story and gameplay are still something everyone should experience.
