UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Kattar is the first big MMA event of 2021, kicking off the 2021 UFC season one week ahead of the UFC 257 pay-per-view next Saturday, January 23. At the top of the fight card is former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway (21-6), the promotion’s top-ranked featherweight, who will be facing sixth-ranked featherweight fighter Calvin Kattar (22-4).
Both combatants utilize a boxing-heavy fighting style and about half of their victories have come via knockout. Max Holloway is the favorite to win but is walking into the Octagon following back-to-back losses at UFC 245 and UFC 251 — both against Alexander Volkanovski (Volkanovski took the featherweight title at UFC 245 and Holloway unsuccessfully challenged for it at UFC 251). Calvin Kattar, on the other hand, will be doing his ring walk with two recent victories under his belt.
