Fortnite‘s season 4 is still ongoing, and its week 5 challenges are now live. For this week, there’s a challenge that requires you to jump through a flaming ring with a vehicle at Salty Springs. While this particular area is marked on the map, the flaming ring is not, so we’ll show you where to find it and how to jump through it with a vehicle. It’s a straightforward challenge once you know where to grab a vehicle and where to find the ring, but if you’re stuck, you’ve come to the right place.

Where to find Salty Springs
Salty Springs is found in the middle of the map, to the west of The Authority. Here, you’ll find a gas station and a few vehicles to choose from, so do your best to land close to one so you can hop in before someone else does. Despite this being the location of a weekly challenge, it’s not as busy as you might expect, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be cautious. There’s actually a vehicle right next to the gas station, so make a beeline for it to ensure someone else doesn’t steal it.
How to jump through the flaming ring at Salty Springs in a vehicle
As for jumping through the flaming ring, you’ll find a ramp on the south side of Salty Springs that leads from west to east. Use the image above for reference. The red dot represents the ramp and the arrow represents the direction you need to go in order to jump through the ring.
Luckily, the ring is very close to the ramp so you don’t need to gather too much speed to make it through the ring. Give yourself some space, then hit the gas, making sure you’re lined up with the ramp. Once you pass through, you’ll gain credit for completing the challenge and earn some XP. Below, we’ll include a video of us completing the challenge for your reference.
As you can see, you don’t need to be going very fast to get through the ramp, even if your vehicle is in bad shape like ours was. If you’re having trouble, make sure you coordinate with your team so they can make sure any nearby enemies don’t take you out while you’re trying to make the jump. Your team can also ensure that the vehicle you’re going for doesn’t get taken by an enemy. Do note that you must jump through the ramp with a vehicle. Attempting to complete this challenge on foot won’t work, sadly. One final tip is to try this challenge later on in the season when this area is less busy. Since Salty Springs is home to this week’s challenge, you’ll find more enemies here than usual, but it’s still more manageable than an area like Stark Industries.
