What you need to know

  • People Can Fly is a developer with four studios.
  • People Can Fly has previously developed games like Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement.
  • The developer has partnered with Square Enix on the upcoming Outriders.
  • People Can Fly is opening a fifth studio and is beginning work on an untitled AAA next-gen game.

While the developers at People Can Fly are hard at work on Outriders, today the team announced it has something else coming as well. In a press release, People Can Fly revealed it is working on an untitled AAA next-generation game.

This new title will be coming to next-generation consoles, PC and streaming platforms. While exact platforms were not announced, it’s safe to say this means the game will be playable on Xbox Series X and PS5, possibly even Project xCloud.

People Can Fly currently operates four studios and People Can Fly New York will be taking the lead on this new project. Meanwhile, the developer will also be opening a fifth studio, located in Montreal, Canada.

“There is electricity in the air at People Can Fly,” said Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO at People Can Fly. “Last year we announced the opening of our New York studio and revealed Outriders for the first time. Today we have surpassed 250 staff and are excited to announce the next chapter in the development of our company.”

The studio’s current project Outriders is currently set to release at some point in Holiday 2020. It’ll be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4.
