It offers great rates on data plans, including a large amount of hotspot data, Boost Mobile has earned a reputation as a great, low-cost, MVNO. Boost Mobile is owned by Sprint, now T-Mobile, and runs primarily on Sprint’s LTE network. Some Boost Mobile phones are capable of working on the larger T-Mobile network in certain areas. Bringing multiple lines can bring down the cost making Boost a great deal for your family. You can even bring in an unlocked phone or buy one from Boost to get connected. Boost’s plans
Boost Mobile plans start at just $35 per month for 3GB of data and unlimited calling and texting. This can be upgraded to unlimited data with more speed and features going up. Unlimited starts at $50 per month, but with two lines it’s only $80 or $40 per line. With Boost, one of the best ways to save is to bring more lines.

There is also a 2GB data plan available with unlimited talk and text coming in at $30 per month. If you’re looking to save some money, your best bet is to bring more lines thanks to a current promotion offering unlimited data with HD streaming and 20GB of hotspot data for $120 per month for four lines.
HD video streaming can be added to the plans for $10 per month, though this won’t be worth it to many people since using Wi-Fi will also result in HD videos.
Boost also offers device insurance to give you replacement options if your device is damaged, lost, or stolen. There would be a deductible of $20, $50, $100, or $150 depending on the device in question.
International service
Boost Mobile has several plans for getting you connected around the world. A Todo Mexico plan helps people stay connected in Mexico with unlimited calls and texts to and from Mexico, as well as 8GB of data when roaming in Mexico. The plan also allows for unlimited calls and texts in Canada. Boost Mobile is one of the strongest MVNOs around when it comes to international service.
The evolving network
Sprint’s network doesn’t have the coverage of its competitors and on its main service, it relies heavily on extended LTE from other carriers to fill in the gaps. This isn’t available on Boost Mobile so if you’re used to Sprint’s coverage, be sure to check out Boost Mobile’s nationwide coverage map before signing up. If you are covered, you can expect solid LTE coverage.
T-Mobile has started to offer some network improvements to Boost Mobile customers but getting connected isn’t completely straightforward. Referred to as the Expanded Boost Network, T-Mobile has started to bring customers in the Colorado, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and Texas onto its network with a few different phones. The list of compatible phones and areas will continue to grow into the future but it does look promising for Boost Mobile customers. The phones
Boost Mobile sells a wide range of phones from cheaper offerings like the Samsung Galaxy A10e to the S20. You can also get an iPhone 11 Pro down to the iPhone 7 depending on your budget. If you want to bring your own, it will need to be compatible with the Sprint CDMA and LTE network to work properly. That doesn’t necessarily that all Sprint phones will be able to be transferred to Boost Mobile, so be sure to double-check if you’re a Sprint customer thinking about switching.

If you want to take advantage of the expanded network, you will need to choose from the LG K51, LG Stylo 5x, Moto e6, Moto g7 play, Samsung Galaxy A10e, or the Samsung Galaxy A20. Compatible phones are also only available in-store at select locations so it might be worth it to call ahead.
The prepaid advantage
Even if you’ve checked the coverage maps, it’s still possible that you’re not satisfied with service on Boost Mobile. Thanks to being a prepaid provider, you aren’t locked into a contract and are free to try out more options. Just be sure to transfer your phone number before you let your contract run out or you could lose it.
