Amazon extends its free Kindle Unlimited subscription offer — but for how long?

Share

Thought you’d missed out on Amazon’s amazing two-month Amazon Kindle Unlimited free trial? Guess what? You didn’t! Amazon has just extended the offer until just before midnight on June 30.

Why wait though? With an Amazon Kindle Unlimited trial, you can dive into thousands of amazing books and pieces of non-fiction. It’s perfect for when you’ve finally run out of things to watch on Netflix, and you feel like losing yourself in a fascinating story.

Ordinarily, the Amazon Kindle Unlimited free trial lasts for a month but right now, you can enjoy two months providing you sign up before June 30. Through the trial, you get access to over 1 million books, a rotating selection of popular magazines, as well as access to thousands of different audiobooks courtesy of Audible — available on Android, iOS, and (of course) Kindle.

There’s something for everyone here thanks to the vast number of books. You can rediscover (or read for the first time) classics like The Color Purple, then switch over and read something more lightweight like Marley and Me. There are plenty of great authors here too like the latest murder mysteries from Patricia Cornwell.

For when you want to switch to more factual stuff, there’s a rotating selection of popular magazines, along with free trials of publications like The Washington Post, The New York Times, People, National Geographic, and much more. Whatever your mood, there’s a magazine or newspaper for you here.

Amazon Kindle Unlimited is ideal if you’re stuck indoors and prefer to read instead of binge-watch TV. Losing yourself in a great story is the perfect way to while away a few hours in no time, and generally, feel better about the world.

As before though, if you’re an existing Kindle Unlimited subscriber, you’re not eligible for the offer but you’ve probably already been enjoying the services for a long time now.

For everyone else, there’s no risk to signing up for two months. Simply remember to cancel the subscription via the Amazon.com website before the end of the trial and you won’t have to pay a cent. Otherwise, if you want to continue the trial, Amazon Kindle Unlimited costs $10 per month which is a bit of a bargain for all the great content you can get. It’s a vast never-ending bookcase of great content, after all.
