How do I add a second Google account on my device? Here is how.

When you remove any Google account, all the data associated with it is deleted from your phone. Your account isn’t deleted from the cloud, so things like contacts or paid apps can be retrieved if you re-add the account or use the account on another device, but all your local data (like messages or app settings) is gone forever. You’ll see a warning about data deletion before you finish the process.

Because Samsung and other manufacturers tend to change the Android user interface, the exact steps above won’t always apply. Here’s how you add a second Google account on Samsung phones.

Tap Accounts and backup.

If you’re in the market for a new Android phone, you can’t do much better than Samsung’s Galaxy S20 line. I’m partial to the standard S20 because it has most of what makes the bigger options special while staying manageable to hold with one hand. If that’s too rich for your blood, consider the excellent Google Pixel 3a.

Samsung’s latest flagship has it all

While the S20 Ultra was meant to wow, and the S20+ is beloved by reviewers, for me, the regular S20 is the way to go. Great camera, great screen, great battery life, and great size.

The Pixel 3a has flagship camera quality but at a fraction of the price. It’s also one of the few great compact phones available.
