What would I choose?
Over the past year or two, a ton of headphone manufacturers have begun adding support for USB-C charging in their devices. There are a few outliers out there still choosing to use Micro-USB instead of USB-C, but that number is quickly falling.
If I had to choose one option from this list, it would definitely be the Sony WH-1000XM3. They feature class-leading ANC, excellent comfort, and long battery life. The sound quality is absolutely bass boosted, but it can, fortunately, be tuned in the companion Sony Headphones app.
If you’re looking for earbuds, the Samsung Galaxy Buds are an equally great pick. They offer great sound quality and comfort, and battery life is decent. The battery is the worst part and they only get an additional seven hours of listening time with the included charging case. On the bright side, the Galaxy Buds charge over USB-C and have support for Qi wireless charging.
