If you’re fancying yourself a new laptop with all the modern specifications this Black Friday or Cyber Monday, then you might want to head to Microsoft and Dell. Both retailers are currently discounting two of their newest Windows 10 laptops by $300 — Dell with the XPS 15, and Microsoft with the Surface Laptop 3.

Starting with the XPS 15, this is a limited-time doorbuster deal. It is part of Dell’s Black Friday event. and supplies are running out quickly. But, for the price of $1,400 instead of $1,600, you’re getting a device that is quite worth the price.

The sale model comes equipped with a modern ninth-generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 16GB of RAM, as well as a 512GB solid-state drive. There’s even an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 under the hood, which makes the laptop a great choice for gaming. We recently reviewed it with a rare five-star rating and named it our top video-editing laptop. The fixed webcam placement, gorgeous slim-bezel design, as well as its display were highlights for us when we compared it to competing Windows 10 laptops.

Then there’s the Surface Laptop 3. Just released last month, Microsoft is already cutting back prices by $300 on most models of the device, including both the 13.5-inch size, as well as the larger 15-inch size. The 13.5-inch models with the redesigned aluminum finish now start at $1,000 instead of the usual price of $1,300. You also can pick up a cheaper version with the Alcantara keyboard for $900 instead of $1,000. All 13.5-inch versions come equipped with the latest 10th generation Intel Core processors, which are great for day-to-day multitasking. Combined with its 3:2 aspect ratio screen, there’s quite a lot of productivity you can get out of this laptop.

For a little more power, and screen real estate, you also can save on the bigger 15-inch model. These versions now start at $1,200. For that price, you’re getting a laptop that is quite capable of many tasks beyond general productivity. It’s great for light gaming. We recently reviewed it and were quite fond of the overall design, as well as its large 3:2 aspect ratio display and solid build quality. It also stays quite quiet and cool, unlike most laptops of its size.
