Best answer: Yes, Disney has reached an agreement with Samsung to distribute Disney+ on its smart TVs for the November 12 launch, but we’re not sure which exact Samsung TV models will be supported. For TVs that are not, there’s always the Chromecast.

  • Marvel on demand: Disney+ (From $7/mo at Disney+)
  • Cast away: Chromecast ($35 at Amazon)

Not just yet

When Disney+ launches on Nov. 12, 2019, it will be available in many places. Disney announced on its November Investor Call that it had reached an agreement with Samsung to carry Disney+ on its smart TVs. A Disney+ representative confirmed that Disney+ would be available on Samsung TVs on Day One, but couldn’t say exactly which model series/years would see the Disney+ app and which ones wouldn’t.

Other ways to watch on a Samsung TV

If your Samsung TV doesn’t see the Disney+ app at launch, there are still a good number of ways to still get all the great shows Disney+ offers regardless of what type of TV you have:

  • Android TV consoles like NVIDIA Shield TV
  • Amazon Fire TV devices
  • Chromecast
  • Apple TV
  • Xbox One
  • PlayStation 4
  • Roku streaming players
