Dell slashes prices on XPS 13 laptops, convertible for Black Friday

Today is Black Friday, which means you’ll find all kinds of big savings on Windows 10 laptops. Dell happens to be one of the many retailers participating in the annual shopping event and it is cutting back prices on some of its best devices. Alongside the XPS 15, Dell is also discounting its popular XPS 13 laptops, including the brand-new XPS 13 2-in-1 by up to $200.

With this sale, the XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible laptop is now retailing for $1,450 instead of $1,650 — a discount of $200. Just released in October, this 2-in-1 is unlike any other and quite worth it for the price. With a refined, petite, and slim bezel design, super-thin profile, and more screen space, this device is really top-notch. It also sports options for Intel’s latest Ice Lake CPUs and Iris Plus graphics, which we found makes the convertible faster and better for light gaming than any other previous-generation XPS device. We gave the XPS 13 2-in-1 a 4.5-star rating and found the device quite refreshing.

Also on sale is the older XPS 13 — now $1,100 instead of $1,350. While this is last year’s model, there’s plenty of value in this laptop for the price. It sports a slim-bezel display and comes equipped with a quad-core, eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, as well as 256GB of SSD storage and 8GB of RAM. This makes the laptop a nice device to carry around for web-browsing and other tasks. When we reviewed it, we really liked its overall design, repositioned webcam, redesigned hinge, and speedy ultrabook performance.

Finally, there is a version of the XPS 13 with a slightly better Intel Core i7 processor. If you want a laptop that you can push to its limit, then this model is for you. It comes with the 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8565U processor, 256GB of SSD storage, and a total of 8GB of RAM. As we’ve explained before, these Core i7 processors are better for gaming and other processing-intensive tasks when compared to the Core i5 option. You’re definitely getting a lot more power under the hood for this excellent sale price.
