A little nervous about shopping online? Don’t want to be snookered by a site with a deal that looks too good to be true? This browser extension checks websites for telltale signs of potentially suspicious activity, using an easy-to-understand green/yellow/red color system to let you know which sites are trustworthy and which ones you should probably steer clear of.
Fakespot
Sometimes reviews on Amazon look too good to be true. And in some cases, that’s precisely what they are: reviews either written by employees or others paid to post a glowing (but faked) review of a product. This extension spots those fake reviews and highlights them — and it’s compatible with several retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Sephora. It even works on Tripadvisor and Yelp for good measure.
Amazon Assistant
If you’re a big Amazon shopper, you’d be foolish not to install this extension. Amazon Assistant sits in the background and monitors when you’re on a competing website. If Amazon has the same product available, a banner appears at the top of your screen showing Amazon’s price. If it’s cheaper, you can click through and buy it from Amazon instead.
Pricescout
If you like Honey, you might like Pricescout even better. While Pricescout performs the same function and finds you coupons and automatically adds them to your cart, it also comparison shops across websites. This allows you to check for better prices elsewhere quickly and easily without having to visit each site.
Rakuten Cash Back Button

You might be familiar with Rakuten’s online storefront, but the company bought cashback company Ebates not too long ago to expand its service. The result is the Rakuten Cash Back Button, which not only automatically applies coupons, but also offers cash back from nearly 2,500 retailers to boot. InvisibleHand
After all this shopping, do you feel like you need to get away? While InvisibleHand does offer some shopping deals, it works exceptionally well for flights, hotels, and rental cars. Vacations can get expensive, so don’t plan your next one without this helpful browser extension.
