Destiny 2: Where to find Xur for the weekend of February 15

Share

There’s a lot of great loot to find in Destiny 2 and its latest expansion, Forsaken. Among all the guns and armor you can find in your travels, those classified as “Exotic” are by far the coolest, most powerful, and most interesting. Almost all of them have interesting perks and gimmicks that can make them extremely useful.

Coming by exotic weapons and armor can be tough, though. Many of the items are locked behind difficult quests and those that aren’t usually come as extremely rare drops in the open world. There is one way to reliably get new exotics each week: Visiting Xur, a special character who hides on the worlds of Destiny 2 and only shows up at specific times.

Xur is a special vendor who sells exotic weapons and armor. Each week, he comes to the solar system with a slate of goods, including an exotic weapon and one piece of exotic armor for each character class. Lately, he’s also been carrying Fated Engrams, which guarantee players an exotic drop they don’t already have, from the collection of exotics from before the release of Forsaken.

The trouble with Xur is finding him. We always know when Xur will show up — at the daily reset on Friday, so 9 a.m. Pacific, 12 p.m. Eastern. The question is where Xur is. While previously in Destiny 2, Xur’s location was marked on the map each weekend, he’s now unmarked and thus tougher to find each weekend. Here’s where you need to go to track down Xur, the Agent of the Nine, and everything you need to know about what he’s offering this week.

Where is Xur and his wares for the week

(February 15 – February 19)

You can find Xur on Earth’s EDZ in the Winding Cove location this week. It’s not difficult to get to, but you do have to deal with some enemies shooting at you while making the journey. Head directly forward after spawning into the Winding Cover and look up until you see a crashed ship. When you reach a rocky mountainside, begin jumping up until you reach Xur next to the ship.

Here is the exact location of that ship.

And here’s what he has for wares.

Sunshot  – 29 Legendary Shards

All classes can get the Sunshot hand cannon from Xur this week. The weapon offers increased range, stability, and recoil control, as well as a “sun blast” explosion whenever enemies are killed by the weapon. Its special ability is “Sunburn,” as it fires explosive bullets and highlights any targets that it has hit for future damage.

(Titans) Actium War Rig – 23 Legendary Shards

The Actium War Rig chest armor is available for Titans this week. The armor offers improved health recovery and resilience, as well as reduced flinching when using sidearms. It also increases your chance of finding primary ammunition after getting a kill, and if you’re using an auto rifle, it will gradually refill part of its magazines with any of your reserve ammunition.

(Warlocks) Skull of Dire Ahamkara – 23 Legendary Shards

Warlocks get the Skull of Dire Ahamkara helmet this week. The helmet offers improved mobility and health recovery, as well as improvements to target acquisition, accuracy, and aiming speed while using scout rifles. It also improves the chance of finding special ammunition after each kill, and it gives you more damage resistance with Nova Bomb and Nova Bomb kills give you super energy.

(Hunters) Lucky Raspberry – 23 Legendary Shards

Hunters can buy the Lucky Raspberry chest armor from Xur this week. The armor offers improved resilience and health recovery, and it increases your chance of finding primary ammunition after a kill. It also reduces flinching while using scout rifles, and it increases the chaining ability of the Arc Bolt Grenade, plus gives it a chance of recharging when it deals damage.

Isochronal Engram  — 97 Legendary Shards

You can only buy one of these Engrams per week, per account, but if you’re filling out your exotic collection, it’s worth it. The Isochronal Engram automatically gives you something you’re missing from the Destiny 2 Year 1 exotic set, which means everything from before Forsaken.
