The Emiota Belty is back again at CES 2016 looking better than ever

Share

We first met the Emiota Belty at CES 2015 – a self-adjusting belt that would tighten or loosen based on your body. At CES 2016, the Belty is back again, but it’s looking a bit different this time around. While the Belty looked more akin to a luggage strap last year, this year’s version dubbed the “Good Vibes” model wouldn’t look out of place in a business or formal setting, featuring a leather strap and metal buckle.

Of course, this Good Vibes version of Belty still has the basic self-adjusting technology as well as the ability to vibrate and alert you if you have been immobile for too long or are not hydrating. The neat thing is that the Belty can still operate without your smartphone so if you are separated from your beloved smartphone, your belt will still be able to adjust and give you notifications. However, if you’re hoping to get your hands on one of these, you’ll need to wait till December 2016 when Emiota expects to launch these belts for $395 USD, though for some this is a small price to pay for a well-fitting belt.
