Earlier today, Canada’s third-largest operator, Telus, took to its official website to publish its distribution schedule for the long-awaited Marshmallow update. The roadmap reveals that the Moto G (2015) will be the first handset to secure the firmware with a rollout planned for Thursday, January 14.

HTC’s One M8 and One M9, along with Alcatel Idol 3, are next in line with OTA’s scheduled to begin rolling out on Monday, January 18. Telus will then push out an identical upgrade for the LG G4 on Monday, February 1, whilst the G3 will be in receipt more than a month later on Monday, March 14.

Telus did include a caveat, though. It reserved the right to change any of these dates as they are “approximate” and are, of course, “subject to change.” However, we assume that they are pretty accurate and we expect to see the software rolling out on time providing there are no major hiccups, of course.

In case you missed it’s announcement, Marshmallow is the latest major build of the Android operating system. It brings many new features to the software, including greater control over app permissions, the ability to complete purchases from the Play Store using your fingerprint, Android Pay and a redesigned application drawer.
