Ever since it launched back in 2005, Reddit has been criticised for delivering one of the worst mobile experiences on the Internet. However, CEO Steve Huffman has revealed that he hopes to make that an issue of the past as the company’s Android application has just entered its closed beta test.
Unfortunately, no details were given regarding the functionality that’s on board. All we know for certain is that we’ll be able to up vote, down vote, respond to posts, create threads and delete content we’ve posted on the social network using the mobile client.
Here’s what Huffman had to say:
“Whether you access it from your desktop, a mobile browser, or a native app, we will work to make the Reddit product more engaging. Mobile in particular continues to be a priority for us. Our new Android app is going into beta today, and our new iOS app should follow it out soon.”
