The new LG K10, which was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016, will be hitting the markets this week, LG has revealed. The phone is scheduled go on sale in South Korea on January 14th, but we don’t know about other regions just yet.

For a recap, the K10 is a mid to low end smartphone, which features an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor, which can be an octa-core chip in other markets, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support. The handset has a 5.3-inch display with a passable 720p resolution and in-cell touch technology, there’s also a 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front facing snapper, and a removable 2,300mAh battery.

We went hands on with the LG K10 and its K7 sibling at this year’s CES, and both come sporting LG’s signature rear volume rocker in a more rounded looking plastic package than the company’s other smartphone products. LG says that the K10 and K7 are designed to cater to the fashion focused consumer while still offering value for money.

Speaking of cost, the K10 will be priced at KWR 200,000, which is roughly the equivalent of $165, and will be available from SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus. That’s not an unreasonable price, but there’s quite a lot of competition in this segment of the market. Customers will have their choice of either White, Indigo or Gold case colors.
