Back in August, there was a rumour that HTC’s next flagship handset ran under the codename ‘O2’ and featured a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 6-inch display. In theory, it was a monster of a handset, with a fan’s wish list of high-end specifications, which means it shouldn’t be a surprise to learn that the ‘O2’ is dead in the water. Instead, HTC’s next flagship is running under the codename ‘Perfume’.

This is according to @LlabTooFeR, a serial leaker with a good track record when it comes to HTC. This new ‘Perfume’ flagship will apparently launch with Android 6.1 Marshmallow with Sense 8 in tow. Before you begin worrying about the ‘Perfume’ moniker, it should be stressed that it is a codename only. You can imagine the headlines if it launched as the HTC Perfume and it didn’t meet expectations.

Hopefully, the HTC ‘Perfume’ can continue to pull the struggling Taiwanese company out of its financial problems, much like the here) that has helped HTC post a 6-month high in revenue.

It’s going to be at least March before HTC announce the ‘Perfume’, what specifications would you like it to feature? And do you want it to carry on with the One A9’s design language?
