ScreenPop brings picture messaging to your lock screen

ScreenPop

Sending messages directly to someone’s lock screen isn’t a particularly new concept on Android, but not many apps out there let you send picture messages this way. ScreenPop, a new app from Locket, lets you send picture messages directly to your friends’ lock screens. Think of it like Snapchat. The app allows you to take a photo and spice it up with text, emojis and doodles if you’d like. Photos will pop up directly on your friends’ lock screens, and they can reply to the photo, “Like” the photo, or swipe to jump directly into the phone. The received photo disappears once you reply or unlock your device.

Just remember, this service should be used with caution. ScreenPop images are sent directly to the user’s device without giving them the option to open it or not. At least with Snapchat, users have to go to the app to open a Snap. ScreenPop will display images, no matter what they are, in plain sight for everyone to see. Despite the dangers, we have no doubt that this service will become widely popular in no time. So, if you’re interested, head to the Google Play link below to grab ScreenPop for free.
