We saw the Samsung Galaxy E7 (SM-E700H) leaking out a few days ago and spilling the beans on its hardware. Today, we’re getting a complete run down of the specs of the Galaxy E7 along with its sibling, the Galaxy E5. The two devices appear to be very similar to the Galaxy A series in terms of specs.

The smallest of the two, the Galaxy E5 (SM-E500F) will pack a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 410 64-bit chip clocked at 1.2 GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a 2,300 mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Galaxy E7 (SM-E500F) on the other hand will come with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display while retaining the same 720p resolution, which should decrease the pixel density. The handset also sports a 13-megapixel camera, the same 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chip, a 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 2GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a non-removable 2,950 mAh battery.

While both devices are revealed to be packing non-removable batteries, we’re not certain if this means they will feature an all metal body. But expect Samsung to pay close attention to design as it has with the Galaxy A series.

It is said that both handsets will pack the same iteration of the TouchWiz UI as we saw on the Android 5.0 running Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 4. Launch is reportedly scheduled for sometime in early 2015, so we probably still have some waiting to do. Perhaps we’ll get more word about the two handsets during the CES event in early January.
