Sony has had a rough few weeks. Quite apart from the hoo-hah currently surrounding the shafting of its highly anticipated comedy film, The Interview, Sony Pictures Entertainment has had to deal with the leaking out of many confidential documents including internal emails and movie scripts. Normally we wouldn’t pay much mind to these kinds of things, however one of these leaks appears to suggest a few things about Sony’s next flagship, expected to be called the Sony Xperia Z4. In the leak of the script for the next Bond movie, Spectre, there was also some information about product placement for a Sony device, for which the above image is a concept of.
This second image also appears to be a concept, but different to the first, though a much more traditional Xperia form factor. Anyone who has seen one of the more recent Bond movies will know that Sony products feature prominently in Bond’s arsenal, so it’s no surprise that Sony would be trying to shoehorn a product placement in somehow, though we’re interested to see if any of their future devices turn out like the concepts above suggest.
