While there have been rumors going back and forth regarding the curved display on the next Galaxy S series flagship, much like that of the Note Edge, there are rumors coming from an Italian tech blog suggesting that the sides will indeed slope, but to a lot less of a degree than the Edge does. The reason being that Samsung is attempting to keep the dual-edged display from affecting grip ergonomics. The phone is also rumored to sport a unibody aluminum chassis. But that’s not it as far as rumors are concerned.

According to the source of this Italian blog, there will be two versions of the S6. The normal S6 and the rumored S6 Edge.  Both will feature a flexible curved display but will feature different chipsets. LTE units will sport the Snapdragon 810 while the other variant will come with a brand new 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa-core processor.

The same source also suggests that Samsung won’t be unveiling the new Galaxy at CES early next month and will go for another second quarter debut. Given Samsung’s need to re-tool the S6 after slumping sales this year of its devices, we’re still months away from knowing just what exactly Samsung is doing for the sixth generation S flagship.
